Welcome to CF61
CF61 is a community space that is available to rent for a multitude of activities. It is situated in the centre of the historic town of Llantwit Major, just two minutes-walk from train and bus services and with its own free parking.
Our vision sees the CF61 Centre at the heart of the community of Llantwit Major providing a secure, friendly and accessible space that is valued and supported by the people of Llantwit Major and the surrounding area.
The CF61 Centre was opened in 2019 and is a fully accessible, warm, clean and welcoming building. It contains a main hall and meeting room for hire, which have been named after the local water courses – the Colhuw River and one of its tributaries the Hoddnant.
Colhuw Hall is a larger space, suitable for many activities - from fitness and wellbeing classes to children’s parties and activities; from art exhibitions and film screenings to conferences and AGMs. Hoddnant is a good sized meetings rooms, suitable for smaller versions of the above, as well as for meetings and more intimate group gatherings. You can also book the hall, meeting room and shared spaces for larger events and the carpark for outdoor events.
The centre also houses a Food Share Pantry which runs on Thursdays between 12.30 and 2pm, and Bro Radio’s studio in the Western Vale.
Hire prices
We have a four tier pricing strategy for our rooms, which allows for reductions for community, charity and voluntary groups, as well as for regular bookings of 6 sessions or more.
Our prices also include:
up to 20 minutes for free either side of your booking, to allow for setting up and clearing away/arrivals and departures etc.
use of furniture and AV facilities, and use of the well equipped kitchen with hire of the hall
marketing your event on the CF61 website and Facebook page, as well as on some local-to-Llantwit Facebook pages, where this is appropriate.
on-site support for bookings within the working week, including support to use our audio-visual facilities. CF61 staff will open up and lock up for you whenever your bookings is during the week.

All proceeds are fed back in to the Centre to continually improve the facility for the local community.
Spaces for rent
CF61 truly is a unique venue in Llantwit Major: a warm and friendly community setting that is suitable as a corporate and conference venue. We are able to provide three separate spaces, or the whole Centre for larger events.
