Tiny Toes Ballet Starts at CF61!
On Wednesday the 19th of May tiny toes ballet Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan held an open afternoon of taster sessions for local families at CF61. Places were pre-booked to manage numbers according to social distancing requirements, but the take up was good and a fun afternoon was had by all.
As a result of the taster sessions, there was enough interest for a weekly class of each age group to go ahead here at Cf61!
Tiny toes ballet is the first UK pre-school dance programme to be integrated with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and aims to develop the confidence, grace and posture, core strength and language and number skills of participants.
With classes for girls and boys from age 6 months to 7 years, the programme uses 16 different themes to make the classes fun and creative for little ones.
Jessica Barnes, who runs the Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan branch of the school said “I am so thrilled to be able to offer our classes in Llantwit Major at last. People have been asking us to come here for a long time, and we were all set to come, but Covid restrictions have caused a significant delay. CF61 is a great, central venue for us and we look forward to getting to know the little dancers of Llantwit.”
Classes available on Wednesday afternoons are:
· 1:30 – Tip Toes for age 6 to 18 months
· 2:20 – Twinkle Toes for age 1.5 to 2.5
· 3:50 – Talent Toes for age 2.5 to 4
· 4:40 – Twirlers and Spinners for age 4 to 7
