A series of police surgeries have been organised at CF61, so that individuals from the local community can meet face-to-face with Officers once again.

These surgeries are intended as an opportunity for residents to

·         speak to their local community officers about community and local matters

·         speak to representatives from different organisations each month, such as the British Transport Police, Llantwit Town Council

·         tell local Officers about projects and events going on in Llantwit, so that they can promote them and perhaps get involved

Community Police Officer Rhiannon Cummings said “Until recently, Covid has prevented residents from being able to speak in person to their local officers, and they have told us how much they have missed this. So we are so pleased to be able to offer this service again.

Also, we need residents to tell us what is happening in the area. We rely on information and reports from the community to be able to address matters and to be able to look at how we can work with the community to effectively deal with issues affecting local residents.”

The surgeries are open to all residents and no appointment is necessary. They are conducted in a safe, confidential and Covid-aware environment, with social distancing in place. The current dates in place are Thursdays 10:30am to 12pm, on the 15th of July, the 26th of August and the 23rd of September.
