Wales Coast Path Walking Festival

2019 marks seven years since the launch of the Wales Coast Path and Ramblers Cymru celebrated with a seven day walking festival, ending on 19th May 2019 with walks from Llantwit Major and the new CF61 building.

Walkers learnt about the area’s geology, fauna and flora and local history. All the walks and activities were led by experienced walk leaders and the programme included short, accessible walks, family friendly walks and longer challenges to suit everyone!

Throughout the day in Llantwit Major there was a great turn out of people from all over the UK joining walks led by walk leaders from Ramblers and local walking organisation Valeways. The sun shone and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to have the coast path brought to life and be surprised with some interesting discoveries and stories.
