Let’s celebrate volunteering!
Volunteers’ Week is a chance to celebrate the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. It takes place on the 1st to 7th June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering. Hundreds of events and celebrations will be taking place across the country, saying thank you to volunteers.
Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) provides a wealth of support to people who would like to volunteer and will be celebrating throughout Volunteers’ Week. GVS will be broadcasting on Bro Radio focussing on volunteering in the Vale, discussing some great volunteer stories. On June 3rd GVS will be available to discuss volunteering at the Civic Offices reception area in Barry from 9.30am - 4.30pm. On June 4th we will be at Barry Library from 9.30am - 11.30am. On the 5th of June GVS will be holding volunteering recruitment events in Llantwit Major at the CF61 centre from 1pm - 4pm and on June the 6th, in Penarth Library from 11am - 1pm. Over 25 organisations looking for volunteers, will attend these events.
