New Welsh Language Sessions at CF61!
Starting next week, Menter Iaith Bro Morgannwg, who promote the social use of Welsh in the Vale of Glamorgan, are starting two new sessions at Cf61.
Amser Stori is a Welsh language storytime session for children aged 0 to 4 to attend with their parent or guardian, but there is a very warm welcome to non-welsh speaking families.
The session is a great way to pick up some basic Welsh and to meet other parents/carers and their little ones. It is also a great way to introduce children to Welsh before they start school, and to become familiar with some of the songs and stories that they will hear in a welsh school.
This session is free, but advance booking is essential due to current social distancing requirements. The session will run from 10 to 10.30 am every Wednesday during school term-time. Email manonifan@menterbromorgannwg.cymru to book.
Drama Bach y Fro is a Welsh language drama class for children in years 3 to 6 in primary school. The class will encourage children’s confidence and equip them with some stage skills, as well as provide an opportunity to use Welsh outside of school. Starting on Friday the 19th of November, the class will be 5-6pm each week for 5 weeks. Booking is essential and the cost is £20 for the 5 classes.
You can book via Menter Bro Morgannwg’s website: https://menterbromorgannwg.org/en/tickets/drama-bach-y-fro
or email manonifan@menterbromorgannwg.cymru for more information.
We at Cf61 are particularly excited to welcome some Welsh sessions to CF61, so please do contact Manon if these sessions are for you!
